[...] I mentioned earlier that I started up a Wiki to contain my game design thoughts, but I think the real benefit of using a Wiki is found when collaborating with remote team members, especially when working on a title such as Explorers. The scope of the game, while small compared to AAA titles, is still larger than what I have for Bethellowed. It will take some time to finish, especially as I am currently working part-time, and it will take a remote team who is willing to work on such a project, slowly, but surely getting it to completion.
Some links that I found on their official site with 30-second audio clips (requires Flash):

http://www.mastodonrocks.com/v5/audio/leviathan/03.html
http://www.mastodonrocks.com/v5/audio/leviathan/06.html
http://www.mastodonrocks.com/v5/audio/lifesblood/02.html

Good stuff, though these clips sound rougher than what I get off of Napster.

[...] I have some code from my Bethellowed prototype that fits in well with the direction of Deullo, but before I start coding up a storm I thought it might be a good idea to write up my design thoughts. In the past I would have created a private blog and started detailing my thoughts, typically with separate entries for topics, and then edited the entries as I got my head around the design. However, I noticed a little link on Jeff’s blog for a free Wiki and thought - hey, now that’s a damned fine idea, I think I’ll check that out, thank you very much.
[...] As I previously mentioned, I am starting work on a two-player game I’m calling Duello for now. I added a hotset option to the Checkers demo that came with T2D and now I’m ready to start prototyping. I love prototyping. Love it, love it, love it. Did I mention that I love it?
Hi, I couldn't find your contact info so I couldn't email.

You say you are starting your own "2D game" to create? I'm the owner and a game producer at Polycount Productions. I have a well tested game concept (based on popular board game) that would be quite easy to create (using T2D I presume). If you would be interested in hearing more, please email me. I would be glad for an opportunity to work with you. It would be paid work.

Thanks.

That's an awesome view there Dave, very breathtaking and serene at the same time. Makes you wonder why on Earth we bother to live in the urban sprawl sometimes huh?

I've been called out... Must respond...

I'm not going to nitpick any specific images, because, really, if you like the pictures (or if your wife likes them ;) ), that's all that matters. With my shots, I don't tend to think too much about rules and proper shooting techniques. I just frame/aim and shoot what I think might be interesting.

If you're looking for inspiration on different ways to shoot your vacation shots, I'd recommend going to the local stores and visitor centers in the areas you're visiting and checking out their postcard section. Photo books in the tourist stops are also good references. 9 times out of 10, there are going to be some good images using local scenery and objects. Those should give you some ideas on how to photograph things in the area, i.e. best lighting, angles, etc.

For everything else, just have fun and shoot the pics. Also, since you're shooting digital, shoot lots of images. You're not going to keep everything, but the more shoot, the better your chances are of finding some keepers.

Oh, nice pics, btw. I'm jealous of your little vacation. :)
